    Stepwise ESIC Registration Process

Follow these steps to ensure proper ESIC registration and compliance for your establishment.

    Step 1: Determine Coverage

All establishments employing more than 10 employees must register under ESIC. Even if the employee count drops later, registration remains mandatory.

    Step 2: Check Wage Limit

Employees earning up to ₹21,000/month are eligible for ESIC benefits. All employees are counted to determine coverage, regardless of wages.

    Step 3: Contribution Rates

    • Employer Contribution: 3.25% of total wages
    • Employee Contribution: 0.75% of wages (deducted by employer)

Step 4: Payment & Return Filing

Employers must file monthly ESIC returns by the 21st of the following month. The return period is six months, from April to September.
